Interdisciplinary Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science, and Neuroscience
The IK Spring School is an eight-day intensive set of courses focused on understanding cognition. This requires classes that include cognitive science, neuroscience, machine learning, AI, robotics, computer science, mathematics, artificial life, evolutionary biology, ethology, linguistics, complex systems science, social sciences, medicine, and philosophy. To give researchers access to this breadth of topics, and to give them access to the latest developments in those fields, we bring together around 200 students (mostly Master’s and PhD, plus some undergraduates, post-docs, and faculty) annually, in the small town of Möhnesee-Günne.
We believe our event offers a unique potential for connecting with highly skilled researchers in fields that are in strong demand, especially given the acceleration of AI use across industry. We also believe that, in order to continue providing our participants with lectures on the latest developments in these fields, we need to continue to bring in international experts to be our lecturers. For this reason, we are looking for external sponsors. IK does not make any profit; rather, our funding goes to travel and lodging costs for our lecturers, and some stipends for students in need.
